Distracted driving leads to semi spilling its load in Abbotsford

Distracted driving is the cause of a messy crash in Abbotsford Monday morning.



The semi truck was heading west on Huntingdon Road when it crashed and spilled what appears to be particle board across the road.



Const. Ian MacDonald with Abbotsford Police said the 32-year-old driver admitted they were trying to plug in their cell phone charger right before the crash.



No one was injured in the crash.



Huntingdon Road was closed between Hamm and Mt. Lehman while the clean-up took place.

I know that stretch of road well!  I haven't done deck-work in years, so it ain't me!  I also will not own or operate a truck with a sleeper on it.



More than likely an East Indian fucking around with his phone.



On a related note, this happened just over a year ago, about 200 meters from your crash on the same road...  Suicide by truck.  Dude in his car decided to end it by swerving in front of a dump truck.  Suicide was confirmed by what investigators found when searching through his recent personal history (although suicide was never publicly released by the media, I know people)...

The car he hit was a grey PT Cruiser.



It looks like family and friends have done a good job of wiping that image off the internet.  I won't post names.



Most likely losers like him...  



The driver of that truck was one year away from retiring...
