WTF does the recent sale of Tik Tok have to do with shit they've been doing for YEARS?

Not entirely sure what you  mean by "shit they've been doing" but the reason TikTok has relevance is because the platform had become a major source of information coming directly out of Gaza, unfiltered, and contributed greatly to young people forming their opinions about what was happening there.

Those opinions were not favorable to the zionists; they were losing/lost a whole generation of folk who weren't susceptible to the influence of legacy media outlets and couldn't be fooled by the propaganda any more because those folk had seen both the reality and the lies... and who was telling the lies.

As Jonathan Greenblatt (CEO of the Anti-Defamation League) put it:

"We have a major, major, major generational problem. The issue in the United States' support for Israel is not left and right—it is young and old. And so we really have a TikTok problem, a Gen-Z problem."

But sure, *maybe* it was only a coincidence that the forced sale of Tiktok followed and the USA's congress felt it necessary to pass legislation equating anti-zionism with anti-semitism because free speech was only meant to apply unless someone is criticizing "israel" just like the founding fathers intended.
