Washington is quite a diverse State.  I predicted that you would probably be happier in an area other than Seattle.  Here is something to help you:

No humidity?  You just got lucky with your visit...  Usually rains for a good six months solid!  I don't mind the rain though...  I only stay on the West Coast also for the geography, mountains, weather, etc...  It sure as hell ain't for (most) of the people here though, that's for sure!

The weather on the West coast is not that great.

It is superior to the rest of Canada, provided one doesn't mind the rain.  I do not mind the rain.

It's better than -20 and icy roads, but the lack of sunshine in the winter is depressing..

Victoria has much nicer winter weather than Vancouver.

No it doesn't.  Vancouver and Victoria have essentially the exact same climate in all regards, for all intents and purposes...

Any real differences would be hardly perceptible...

You think so do you.

I think most people in Victoria are aware that our climate is a lot drier and sunnier than Vancouver's thanks to the rain shadow, but I want to take a look in a bit more detail.

Let's start with precipitation.  As the chart below shows, Vancouver does get a lot  more precipitation than Victoria - an average of 1,560 mm annually vs 641 mm for Victoria.  That's almost two and a half times as much rain!  Vancouver gets more precipitation than Victoria throughout the year

That chart may be true for Vancouver and Victoria proper, but those differences quickly change and even up if you just live even a few miles away...

It was beautiful weather when I was there, mid 60s for the most part. Rained a lil at night a couple nights, but cleared out by day. Then it also varied depending on where we were going. When we were headed up to Leavenworth through the Cascade mountains, there was a town we went through and it was pouring. He told me that was not normal Seattle weather lol.

When I got home, it was that hot sticky humidity. I think y'all have humidity too, but it wasnt that hot sticky humidity, was weird.

Yeah he told me it rains for like 8 months of the year, but I actually get more rainfall here back home, but more sunny skies. Its weird, I think because it mostly mists there, and downpours when it rains here. We have 1-2 inches of rain coming tomorrow.

You said Vancouver and Victoria have essentially the exact same climate in all regards and as I showed you, that isn't true.

I have finished Lord of the Rings for the third time! 6 books in 7 months. "I shall now diminish, and sail into the West". But at the same time, "I think Im quite ready for another adventure!" lol.
