Surprisingly, Nelson has a higher end offering, Vince DeVito, that sells North American made boots.  They even do repairs on-site, which is almost a thing of the past.  Sometimes it's nice to wear a boot that you know wasn't made by little Chinese fingers.

Quality boots can be rebuilt.

I have bought Baffin, Under Armour and other expensive brands. At the end of the day, they all lasted about the same amount of time. Comfort is a little better with the expensive brands, but I aint ever trouble with my feet. Work boots are like sandals for some folks. I am so used to wearing them.
