There's going to be huge therapy bills in their futures...
No, you haven't had been on an expat package. If you had, you would know kids living abroad with those perks know privileges most kids in Canada can only dream of. That is a fact. Don't believe me, ask that reel fella on VF if the advantages his kids had abroad affected them anything less than in a positive way.

Hold up...

I said similar packages, not exact. Don't try taking a mark off my shoulders, bud.

As a kid that moved on average every 2 years from birth and continues to shift even now, I'm just pointing out the obvious elephant in the room.
Blahhhhhh...

They are all pretty damned good. And there aint no elephant in the room. There aint no cons on an expat package. She got the employment version of a winning lottery ticket.

Most of my working career I was on that 28 and 28 thing. Good money, but no frickin comparison to the privileges that real expat packages offer. She would have been crazy to turn it down. I doubt old reel has any regrets.

I went to high school with a girl who works in the international school system along with her husband. They are currently at an international school in Shanghai. They were in Dubai before that. Last I spoke, she said they would never return to the provincial education system. Their kids are multilingual too.

Any kid that hits their teacher in America should have to finish their schooling over there.

Teaching in the public school system has a low turnover rate. It is still a good job.

A teacher can be incompetent, push his or her prog politics on kids instead of teaching them the three r's and still collect a paystub and a pension. It is a good deal for teachers, but not for kids or parents.

They would probably be better at math.

I think the Waltons sold $1.5 billion, but that is ahead of a three for one split. Jeff Bezos sold his shares to avoid taxes. Zuckerberg sold those shares at the end of 2023 as per a regulatory filing. He did the same thing in 2021.

I don't think any of this is unusual.

But what of Buffet? I've heard he has been selling off a lot, big time.
