They're not a native bird in Western Australia and are considered a pest in WA... And the population has taken off like a rocket tho..

I was going to take pictures of the Super Moon rising in an hour but I'm blocked in by a truck and I cannot disturb the driver but a couple of weeks ago, I captured the half moon at sunrise from my front garden. I was impressed with the quality of the new camera.

I'm a bit disappointed since the news says there won't be another super moon this good for another 20 years.

OK I went and stood on a highway cross-over bridge at Melville High School and on the wrong camera setting took shots of the super moon through smoke pollution.....This was as good as I could get. I can fake shots better than this. Apparently we're not going to see the moon this big for another 20 years....

My new discovery - these are taken in the morning at twilight... just before sunrise... that is the best time to take pictures of the moon. FORGET NIGHT TIME. Once you do that you can send it to your programs and then hit the darken shadows.. That brings out the craters on the moon and blackens the sky. I'll probably never again do the moon again. I scored pictures of a full eclipse a few years back but with the smaller camera. This is probably the best I can do with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ300 Digital Camera

Thank you.

I have a facebook page for my wildlife photography.

It saves me using those hideous upload images or photobucket. I do use them tho from time to time but have been a bit funny about them since imageshack is one site holding my images hostage.... no one can see them unless I pay for it. It might even be deleted as far as I know.

If you like birds and stuff... this is where I post them... tick like if you them... I need 2500 likes and so far I only have 19 so I have a very long way to go...

Caskur, for those of us that live in Canada, colourful tropical birds in your yard seems like being on a holiday..

You and Oberon are treating us with these pictures.

Then I'll have to post some Red Tailed Black Cockatoos for you. They feast on my Cape Lilac Tree berries (not a native plant either)... all over birds are threatened... I'm VERY distraught about it actually...

This is a female... every year I get 13-15 in my cape lilac trees...  this year there were about 9 females and 3 males.
