One of the questions currently being asked is whether what Sarandon describes – the inability of many women even to conceptualise themselves as victims – is a function of "liberation" or internalised misogynistic denial. For Sarandon's part, nothing post-Weinstein has made her reassess her own past. "Certainly, I experienced both having people come on to me and being told that I wasn't interesting enough to get a part, or sexual enough, once they found out I was married," she says. She also admits she was lucky; that, unlike many of the women coming forward today, Sarandon's resolve was never put to the test. "In my case, I just said no, in many clumsy, stupid ways, but the people didn't push on. They didn't show up in my room. They didn't corner me, or batter me, or get on top of me. It was an invitation: 'Yeah, why don't you spend the night now that you're here in the middle of nowhere on location?' And I said: 'No, I gotta get back to my room.' But I didn't feel super offended, because it wasn't a thing that became super difficult."

I agree with old Angela. It all has to do with "choices, choices." Sure, they want attention. They will get the wrong attention too and the wrong attention will try all they can to get as much as they can from the female revealing so much. That is how it goes, unfortunately, especially in that industry, in show business. It is all very simple. You show some skin, you're wanting to be noticed. You are noticed. Someone who noticed will approach you and want to get farther with you. Some women probably wanted the attention because they are looking for someone. If they aren't then they can express that and the pursuer need not go farther with her. Some women will entertain the admirer and then the hanky panky begins. Some of these women will claim they were harrassed while some of these women knew exactly what they were getting into. When I was younger, I did not agree with this statement. As I get older, I believe in it more.

Without dressing up provocatively, a woman is already fair game to the creeps out there. How much more if she were indeed provocatively dressed? It's like leaving cheese out for the rodents.

What surprised me most is, bam they fired him immediately, no announcement that they were looking into it, no nothing.

As much as I've enjoyed watching all these leftists pols and hollywood liberal men getting stomped on, I can't help worry that there may be some bad repurcussions to all this.
