Extreme humidity is hard on the body.

I felt that 40+ shit when my parents had a place in Arizona. With a breeze, it felt like a furnace.

I would prefer a dry heat than humidity. Humidity makes ya feel sticky and in need of a shower.

I've been in 50 degrees and dry or not, it's frickin no fun.

The pool was delightful though.

When I converted, does that equal out to around 109F? I think the hottest it ever been here is around 106 or 108, then add in the heat index with the humidity. PLUS a dechero (sp?) (wind storm) hit this area on one of those weeks, and the whole area was out of power for nearly a week. That SUCKED! I couldnt stay here, and went to a relatives who had power and AC.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

I can't remember Calgary ever reaching the mid thirties, but it might have.

Cool change hit last night. Only 28 today.

Where's my damn coat.

Average australian uses two times more water per day than an average nordic person.

Average american uses over 3 times more water per day..

Is it because australians and americans sweat more and thus require more water or because they spend an hour in the shower.

Every year Australia and certain parts of america suffer these warm dry seasons.. And they are running low on water.

Maybe they ought to change their habits.. Like needless usage of water.

Amy Poehler's home in Beverly Hills allegedly used about 170,000 gallons from May 14 through July 14, 2015 — roughly 12,000 gallons per day. The average LA resident, meanwhile, uses about 196 gallons daily.

But if you think Poehler's reported water use is bad, prepare yourself.

Someone in Bel Air, the exclusive West LA neighborhood that's been home to celebrities from Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to Madonna and Adam Sandler, used close to 12 million gallons of water in a single year, according to the Center for Investigative Reporting.

When its 40 plus degrees, you tend to perspire. We shower twice a day in summer. We also have pools. We also need to DRINK twice as much as europeans.

For some reason Australians are fastidious with car care. Most cars are kept in pristine washed condition.

You should come visit in high summer. Then you'll understand.

Even 196 gallons is completely unacceptable.

Funny how they squander resources to a point of need for rationing even though L.A. is a nesting ground of environmentalists/animal activists etc.

Rich celebrities with their decadent, selfish lifestyles skew that number.
