It makes you want to wear a black leather jacket, slick back your hair, and go out looking for knife fights with rival gangs!

A collector item and that is about it.

Dude. Seriously?

It's never too late for therapy. And in the light of recent events in the US, demonstrating a propensity to violence and weapons online is not advisable.

It is an offence to possess or carry...so what can a collector do?

Exactly.  I collect weird shit like this.  Always wanted a genuine Italian flick as a kid, and now I have the disposable income to acquire the odd item like this.

They ship to Australia also.  Hit me up with a PM if you're interested to know more.

You keep it at home.  Blade removed, of course!  Wouldn't want anything bad to happen in case it's possessed!

I am a licensed firearm owner, and own pistols as well as long guns.  Have for a long time.

I can assure you a flick in my possession at home is not a harm to the public.  Besides, gotta keep the blade removed, so it's all legal, just in case it pops itself open, and goes after innocent victims.

I have an uncle who owns a beautiful Japanese samurai sword. I would love to have it when he passes away, but his son gets it.

Angry White Male

Genuine Japanese swords are not cheap!  That's one thing I never got into...  Sword collecting.
