Today's sermon was "Alive Through Our Lord Jesus' Ultimate Sacrifice" with  Romans 6:1-11 as a reference..



What that means to us that are alive because of Christ's atoning blood..



If any person is in Christ, he is a new creature..



Christ paid for our sins.

You are sounding like those yankee "priests" whom preach and bang the neighbours 9year old daughter in the process.

I certainly don't agree with Fash's religious devotion, but comparing her to a kiddie diddling priest is low even by your standards.

I do not think fashie is anywhere near that low but I have heard similar preaching from crazy pedophiles.



I´m not too comfortable with what we call "hihhulism" or crazy bible thumping.

Loving and knowing



In a novel by Jonathan Safran Foer, one of the characters, speaking of New York's Empire State Building, said, "I know this building because I love this building."



That statement caused me to think about the relationship between love and knowledge. Whenever we love something, we want to know everything about it. When we love a place, we want to explore every inch of it. When we love a person, we want to know every detail of his or her life. We want to know what he likes, how she spends her time, where he grew up, who her friends are, what he believes. The list is endless. But some of us want to be loved without allowing ourselves to be known. We're afraid that we won't be loved if we are truly known.



We don't have to worry about that with God. His love is far superior to ours: "God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom. 5:8). Furthermore, He makes Himself known to us. Through creation, Scripture, and Christ, God reveals His character and His love. Because God loves us in spite of our imperfections, we can safely confess our faults to Him. With God, we need not fear being known. That's why to know God is to love Him.

Today's sermon was titled rejecting God's word..



It was about man's inherent rebelliousness..

I have most my Christmas shopping over with except for my mother, I have no clue what to get her.



I'm all for Christmas, and always have been even if I think that it's a stolen pagan holiday.

I even say Marry Christmas, and don't even mind a little star on the tree .

I think those who wish it out of the public spotlight need to stop being a-holes, and just enjoy.

Of course I can do without the crowds, and Commercialism of it all.
