Finally finished building the new gaming desktop, just waiting to get my hands on a graphics card... if I'm lucky when scalpers, miners and COVID is outta control.

RTX 3090? ac_biggrin

Lol hell no, I can't afford paying another 2k when this set up already costed me 3.5k, most I'll go for is a 3070 ti, if not available I might have no choice but to buy a 3080.

Dont buy any of them... The prices have so much air in them and Nvidia is probably gonna release a new line this year.

What set-up you have now?

That's true, it's most likely they'll release the 40 series this summer or at least the 30 series again but with more vram.  Even if I wait it'll most likely be impossible to buy them upon launch, with the chip shortage, COVID delays in logistic for manufacturers, along with the scalpers and bitcoin miners we're competing with, chances are i'll need to wait half a year after the first launch, if I'm lucky.

Listed below is the current set up

CPU - Intel 11th Gen Rocket Lake i7 Unlocked

GPU - Nvidia RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition (Currently the old card I use to play at work)

RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB 3200Mhz

Motherboard - Asus Z590-I Mini-ITX

OS SSD - Western Digital Black 1TB M.2 SN850

Library HDD - Western Digital Black 2TB HDD 3.5"

Archive SSD - Western Digital Blue 500GB SSD 2.5"

Backup HDD - Western Digital Blue 2TB HDD 3.5"

PSU - Seasonic Prime Gold 750W

Chassis - Thermaltake Tower 100 Black Edition

Monitor - Samsung Odyssey G7 4K G-Sync

Sound System - Creative Sound Blaster X7 & E-MU

Headphone - Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro

Mouse - Logitech G502 LightSpeed

Keyboard - Logitech G915 TKL LightSpeed

Headset - Logitech G733 LightSpeed

Thats better than mine... I have MSI Geforce RTX 2070 super gaming x trio as well.

What games do you play?

Ever played Assassins Creed Odyssey or Origins?

I might be able to get the GPU if I stick to the lesser known shops.

Tb fair I don't think the Founders Edition is any better than the other manufacturers, unless you have OCD like me, but right now it's just best to stick with our current GPUs until this shortage dwindles down;  After waiting all this time for Best Buy to resupply the next batch, I don't really feel like buying the 3070 Ti anymore.

My best friend plays Assassins Creed too, though I never get to try it, but just by looking at the graphics already makes me want to purchase the game.

Currently I'm just playing Guild Wars 2 & Pillars of Eternity.  A few old games I've used to play is FFXIV and StarCraft 1&2, Never Winter Nights 1&2, IceWind Dale 1&2, Baldur's Gate 1&2.

Lol, aside from most of the small dicks that is censored, most Japanese male AV actors fall into 2 category, they're either the tall body builder type, which are used to attract and recruit the potential female AV actress on the streets; And the other type is the typical ugly horny looking one, as shown in the pic you've uploaded also often comes out on camera and screws the unfortunate actress.

Mine has three fans and it seems to be more overclockable than the founders edition.

I was asking because my i7-9700k overclocked to 5ghz caps out and the AC Origins is still having stuttering issues.

The GPU is running at 65%.

The game is really CPU heavy due to bad optimization and people with good rigs still cant get 60 FPS out of it.

Odyssey is even more demanding.

God of War 4 runs just fine at max settings 80fps.

By any chance are you running at 4K or 2K?  I assume a lot of games are CPU resource based since they wanted to gain access a larger market and the prices of graphics cards are still pretty insane considering most customers are kids to young adults, though I could be wrong.

Nope, 1920x1080 144hz.

By the looks of it, the game is not gonna run smoothly even if you have some monster CPU.

Its really odd that it doesnt max out the GPU.

Apparently people have complained to Ubisoft but they aint doing anything about it.

It's really not that surprising since there are quite a number of graphics intensive game in the market that are CPU based.  Chance of Ubisoft restructuring the game will be most likely impossible, due to a insane amount of bugs will probably be created and cripple the game play, and the cost to make a brand new game from scratch would probably be far cheaper.

I have not seen Squid games yet, the "perfectly legal" downloads I had were not subtitled so I will have to buy the bluray dvd set when it's released.

They are selling unauthorized copies at amazon and Ebay, not the official licensed version which is not out yet.
