It would be prettier if it let me get closer, but it said "whoa, close enough"...

The magpies however won't fly away until you're 2 feet away and stomping, then they're right back as soon as you pivot away.

I have an old 16 megapixle Olympus that seldom gets used or charged up.

SLR's would be a waste on me. The general interest isn't there.

The do make telephoto clip ons for smart phones.... that's a possibility.

I agree too, no offense to Dinky, but my eyes strain a bit by just looking at that bird, nice birdy though.

The compact DCs have gone a long way with their larger sensors along with a 15x or more zoom.

None taken. It was the closest I could manage. Rosella's are notoriously nervous birds.
