"Bomb"ay Bhel Restaurant in Mississauga - 15 wounded - 3 critical

Peel Regional Police allege two disguised men entered the Bombay Bhel restaurant, near a major Mississauga, Ont. intersection, planted an improvised explosive device and then fled. Moments later, at around 10:30 p.m. the device detonated, injuring at least 15 people.

....."Glass was broken in the street ... everything was destroyed. Lots of blood in the floor," Concaceicao told CBC Toronto.



"Many people were screaming. They were trying to run out from the restaurant."



Paramedics wheeled a number of people away on stretchers. Others limped away. Amid the flashing lights, one woman comforted an infant in the back seat of a police cruiser.

Not so surprising if the restaurant was owned an operated by Hindus. Hindu / Muslim tension has been going on for centuries and continues to this day.

In Canada, it would be more likely that the owners would be Sikh, even though we do have Hindu's here also...  But you're right...  I don't think think any of the three (Hindu/Sikh/Muslim) like each other much at all.

Investigators said approximately 40 patrons and guests were inside the restaurant at the time.



Three patients, who Peel Paramedics said were in critical condition, were taken to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.



"At this time we haven't ruled anything out as we start our investigation."

Knowing the Sikh/Indian culture well enough, and the fact that there were two 'parties' that were renting out the restaurant that night, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a 'personal' issue being dealt with, if you will...
