They are a pretty little bird, but as true swallows they are hard to photograph to appreciate their colouring.



The are constantly flying and swooping as swallows are inclined to do. They are far from rare, but bird photographers regard a good clear picture of a swallow in flight as a bucket list achievement.

We don't have swallows around here, but I've heard they are hard to get a good picture of.
