Flame robins look similar to our robins.

I got it's mate too but she is very blurry.

They are so tiny, move so fast and stay well hidden in the foliage.



When I got a pic of a weebill a few months ago that was reasonably sharp, it felt like a fisherman bagging a massive cod (then throwing it back, of course).

When I got a pic of a weebill a few months ago that was reasonably sharp, it felt like a fisherman bagging a massive cod (then throwing it back, of course).

I was absolutely beside myself with glee... I sighted two grey fantails first, (my favourites but missed the photo opportunity) and that Rufous Whistler male who stayed still long enough for me to K4 him... I was zoomed in and my zoom isn't the crispest of shots. Anyway, I was happy, my first sighting...



But the camera takes beautiful shots when I'm close enough.

Do they hunt smaller birds and mice in cities?

Yes.

We don't usually see birds of prey inside in my city limits, but you don't have to drive very far in the countryside to see hawks and eagles.
