Left destroying free speech thread

I have been following the left's attacks on free speech for a while now, knowing they would get worse, and they certainly have.  It started out small and now look where we are, its pervasive, there is news of it every day.



We have European governments fining and jailing dissenters.   Twitter, facebook, youtube and google have all been caught repeatedly censoring conservative views.  Alex Jones has been completely banned.

Now other corporations like Mastercard and Visa are joining in with help from the southern poverty law center and refusing to honor transactions to Jihad watch and David Horowitz's foundation

In reading histories of the Third Reich I was always struck by how quickly — in just a matter of months — Germany went from being a free, democratic state to an authoritarian dictatorship, right under everyone's noses in 1933. I always marveled at how fast and easy it was to destroy freedom. I don't marvel any more. It is happening to us right now, and most people neither notice nor care. The authoritarian Left is stamping out all dissenting voices. It will soon be even worse: people who don't hold the accepted opinions will not be able to hold jobs, have bank accounts, buy from various outlets, etc. Think this is hysterical and will never happen here? Watch.

Are there not anti-discrimination laws in the US?



You cannot withhold a service simply because you don't agree with the other person's politics, religion or sexual category.



I cannot imagine any court in the country would support a withdrawal of service based on personal beliefs.
