Surely there is a legal redress to this madness??

the student has a lawyer but I don't know what recourse they have.  I'm not sure, but I think It is probably not illegal to do what the university is doing.,

Don't you have anti-discrimination laws over there?

Yes but they are based on protected classes.  You cannot discriminate based on race, religion, national origin, disability and gender.  



While refusing someone admission to a school because they followed Alex Jones is ugly and unfair.  I don't believe it is illegal.

I agree with Bricktop, politics should not be legal grounds for discrimination.

I agree with this as well.  There are no laws against this discrimination here yet, but there should be.
