I thought you were divorced, BT.

Guess you remarried eh.

I have been married twice...but I've been with my wife for 38 years.

I don't want a koala or kangaroo family to take our spot.

Its been a bit of a wildlife feast this past few weeks.

Koalas, kangaroos, birds...spring has sprung!!!

Do the big birds, emu and cassowary live near you?

Cassowaries only life in the northern tropics. Thank goodness. Assholes of a bird.

Emu's come close to the city boundary, but tend to stay in bushland. We live well within the city boundary, but in a rather unusual ecological zone of natural bushland. Whilst I've not seen emus, it's not beyond the realm of possibility.

That said, emu's are wanderers, and if there were any near us, we would have likely seen them by now.

But, 20km up the road we'd probably find them.

Cassowaries are mean sons of bitches.

There are several around...I just looked into the one at Harrison hot springs...most likely around the lake somewhere.  But I hear Tswassin is also a good area for them.

Perhaps a nice walk around the water where they nest..

It's cheaper and you can get some exercise.
