States are beginning to open things up. In Texas, the stay at home order expires Thursday.
QuoteTexas Gov. Greg Abbott detailed plans on Monday to reopen the state for business amid the coronavirus pandemic – allowing places like retail stores, restaurants and movie theaters to open up to customers at a limited capacity by Friday May 1.....Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said wearing masks will be encouraged, but will not be required....."We're not just going to pen up and hope for the best," Abbott said during a news conference on Monday in Austin. "We're going to open in way that will also contain the virus and keep us safe.".....Along with retail stores, restaurants and movie theaters, Abbott said that museums and libraries can also reopen on Friday at a 25 percent capacity. Sole proprietors of businesses can also open and doctors and dentists can resume normal operations as well.

Abbott added that hospitals will still have to keep 50 percent of their capacity for patients suffering from COVID-19.

Churches and places of worship, which were allowed to remain open during the state's stay-at-home orders, are also allowed to expand their capacity provided safe social distancing measures are still enacted.....The governor's plan, which he said has the backing of both state and federal health officials, is part of larger strategy in Texas to gradually reopen businesses. Abbott noted that by May 18, if there are no new spikes of contagion in Texas than he will move on to phases two of the plan, which almost businesses to operate at 50 percent capacity.

The Flea Trap / Misc News
November 25, 2019, 10:28:02 AM
After having murder charges levied against a Houston cop for killing innocents during a no knock raid, this caught my attention. A 2015 Chicago no knock warrant is coming back to bite the Chicago PD in the ass after a news story a year ago.

QuoteAccording to the complaint for search warrant, police acted on the word of a confidential informant who told police weekly heroin sales were being made by Derec Bell, a man also known as "Ace," at the address where Blassingame and her children lived then.

But Bell could not have been selling heroin at that address at that time because CBS 2 found he was actually in Galesburg, 200 miles away, at the Hill Correctional Center. He had been incarcerated there for six years.

CBS 2 searched a publicly available database for Bell's most recent address, as well as the Cook County Court docket and Illinois Department of Corrections inmate database. The search quickly revealed Bell is serving a 40-year prison sentence for murder.

In the last year, after the news story, 10 other law suits have been filed with similar stories.

The Flea Trap / No umbrella...no problem...WTF?????
February 28, 2018, 05:32:22 PM
QuoteThis is the mind-boggling moment a woman uses a baby as an umbrella during a rainstorm, sparking outrage on social media.

In night-time video footage, the lady - dressed in shorts and a T-shirt - can be seen holding the little girl above her head as she runs towards a car in a parking lot outside a shopping mall, believed to be in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

She then hesitates and darts back towards the shops, still holding aloft the poor child, who is wearing matching pink T-shirt and shorts, to protect herself from the downpour.

Art, Hard Rock & Harmony / Hemi Hideout
February 18, 2018, 12:24:01 AM
Going to put this here because as far as I'm concerned, between the signage and restoration of the cars....it is art.

Went to a 50th anniversary party for one of my wife's cousins. This place was really a museum. I figure in excess of $2-3 million worth of cars and other vehicles including tractors and motorcycles. The signage was unbelievable. Neon and porcelain. I figure the signs were probably close to a million after any restoration. Things were so bright because of the bright neon. My pics don't do them justice but I am going to post them anyway. The website does have a video and photo gallery and worth checking out as well. These pics are from only one end of the place.

Probably going to be some really big pics since I am not going to resize all of them in order to post them. This was a truly awesome place if you like Mopar and Hemi's

The Flea Trap / Sheriff orders execution of unarmed man
February 10, 2018, 08:24:37 PM
Sheriff orders the killing of an unarmed man. Hope he winds up hanging for this. Looks like all the reckless driving was caused by the sheriffs department trying to knock him off the road. Guy was only driving 50mph. They could have just followed him. No reason to risk the man's or deputies lives.

JJ won the award. The three finalists all deserved to win. Shame there can be only one. Of course Houston is very proud.

So many things wrong with this. DC school system is doing their own form of affirmative action. Talk about dumbing down America...141 out of 164 missed 30 to 150 days and still graduated and apparently got into college.
