Quote from: "caskur"Dope is a horrible drug that only use is for mothballs.

Heaps of my friends died or were severely injured in car accidents while stoned.

Only really stupid people fight for that junk to be decimalized. I don't want my family on the road the same time some drugged up loser is driving.

Heaps?  Dope usually mellows people out when they drive, so not sure how all your friends ended up dying after a couple tokes...

That said, weed is now legalized in this country.  I don't generally smoke it, but I have seen no changes here since legalization.  Our impaired driving laws are now pretty harsh, and that includes drugged driving.  Police have new tools to test for drug impairment now, and the penalties are similar to drunk driving.

Yeah, crap, crap, crap,... the same old thing I used to bang on about when I smoked the poison.

They can make a billion laws and it still won't stop dickheads driving stoned and killing other families driving on the roads.

There used to be a poster on here who insisted most people smoke marijuana for medicinal purposes..

She refused to accept that most people smoke it to get high.

We're getting plenty of idiot media support for medical use of dope as if it's the miraculous cure for all.

Go back 20 -25 years and Ritalin was the cure for wild children.... every kid was forced on it but parents were selling it or taking it themselves.

I'm not talking about booze nor am I comparing the two drugs.

I'm tired of idiots making excuses for rotten disgusting over-rated weed.

It's about time people spoke out against it like I do...

Speak out against it all you want...  It will make no difference.

Prohibition didn't stop booze, did it?  Nor will your efforts to control weed either...

It is what it is...  Canada has legalized it now, and if I'm not mistaken we're the first country in the Western World that has done so at the Federal level, meaning Nationwide...

As stated, I do not smoke myself, but have no problems with products that people will buy anyhow available in store for them...

It makes no difference.  People will consume what they like to consume, whether you like it or not...

And as stated, driving while impaired on any substance is a risk that one should not take, and there are harsh laws in place here should one get caught doing so, on any substance ...

Are you the one that will take twisted bleeding bodies out of mangled cars or are you happy that other people will do it?

Just goes to show what a selfish hedonistic bastard you are.

I like black hash.

Gutter hash? Goes with the barrel wash I'm guessing.

I haven't smoked regularly in decades, though there was a time when it was more or less a daily occurrence. At the height of my pot usage, I was putting away a gram at breakfast, one at lunch and splitting a quarter among three friends at dinner. Great shit too, made for an excellent body stone and gave the mind a ton of creative potential.

Which worked considering the job I was doing at the time. Labouring work in forty degree temperatures (centigrade mind you, not that wussy faggyheit scale the seppos use). There were ten of us on the crew working this job, but only two at a time could actually do any work and the bosses had split us up into pairs with the idea of giving us plenty of time to recuperate in between some pretty arduous work.

Being shitfaced has its benefits. Me and one of the other guys who was similarly "choofed up" turned the job into a game where each team took turns seeing at who could outlast the other in terms of work done. Modesty forbids me from telling you which team won, though I can confirm it required a little "thinking outside the box" to outwit the bastard who rested (slacked off) until the end was close enough in sight that his effort would stand as the record... had I not headed up to the top office and called a friend with instructions to call that guy up and thereby drag him out to answer the phonecall. Man was he pissed about that!

And I heard back later that of the ten guys working that job, only two of us received written references for our efforts... me and the other stoner. I figured the guy pipped at the post probably would have been in line for one too, but for the tantrum he threw when he realised I had gibbed him at the last minute. Fun times.

You can keep this post as evidence to present in court in front of any judge..

You have issues that I can't help you with, so it's moot.

Weed is no different than booze, really.  I'm sure MADD would like everything to be prohibited, but that just cannot happen for reasons that are beyond your understanding.

Have you considered volunteering for MADD?  They love prohibitionist era females like you!  Furthers their cause, even when it has nothing to do with driving...

Your brain isn't functioning correctly...  Weed or not, legalized or not, people will still die driving.  It is the cost of convenience, to not have to ride on a horse.

To even imply that weed killed all your friends, tells me that you're just not that smart.

I don't smoke weed, but I know the statistics...  I know what kills people.

Weed is the least of your worries, all other things considered.

When I was young and stupid, I did some stupid things. I ended up with a criminal record. Anyway, I got a waiver, so I could work in Pennsylvania supervising hydraulic fracturing crews. When I entered the US every time after going home to visit Saskatchewan they asked so many frickin questions.

I simply just obtained a Pardon.  Better than any waiver!  Outta sight, outta mind!
