I am certainly considering selling my condo and moving, since I am now in a position to do so.

However, I am not quite ready for retirement yet, even though I could possibly retire now with the proper investments.

The reason I cannot retire yet, is that I have few hobbies, and unemployed/retired I would probably tend to just drink myself to death (like my parents did).

As much as I dislike working, running my truck may be a good thing for me, as it keeps me somewhat busy.

It's a double edged sword.

Depending on ones own personality, having too much money and spare time isn't always the "dream" that it's made out to be...  It can also be a quick path to eventual self-destruction.

Maybe you need a change. Talking to yourself here is dead end street. Maybe I could refer you to a Realitor and some real estate in Playa Langosta? Hanging here with all of these smart people will drive you to drink more.

And here it is. Where a fool and his money part ways.

Quote from: "smell the glove"When you have a chequing account that looks like this?  What can I say?

And this is just my chequing account...  I have other investments, and another 3/4 million coming in from the sale of a property...

It all fucking comes back.

I am liking you better all the time.

That's a lot of money to keep in a low interest chequing account.

I want her back.  She can pick out a house...

I was too hard on her, not factoring in that most women aren't like her.

I made a big mistake.
