She doesn't need to be. Joe Biden wasn't exactly playing with a full deck in 2020 either, all they needed was his "corporeal presence"... there were more than enough unelected actors behind the scenes to carry his water and make all the tricky decisions on how to run the country in his name.

Also, she is not a communist. Just an empty blue suit that's being paraded about as the front for uniparty interests, fed enough talking points in the hopes of passing off the illusion she has the faintest scooby of how to run an economy. Even her father has come out against her... though in fairness I suspect that had more to do with her disparaging remarks about his Jamaican heritage than him being a card carrying Marxist. Her own party doesn't like her, progressive socialists like AOC have even openly vented their dislike for her, along with reporting this dislike is shared privately with other democrats wo refuse to go on the record out of concerns what it might mean for their own political careers.

Most tellingly of all, her own voting public do not like her. You'll see people in the media trying to pass her off as a "black" woman; that shit isn't flying with black voters though. In her bid for president in 2020 she could barely scrape together 1% of the black vote. Elizabeth Warren outperformed her with 8% of the black vote, while Bernie Sanders managed 16%. She is, simply put, about as popular as a fart in a spacesuit, but the Democrats are out of options and due to election law would be effectively handing so many states to the Republicans if they anointed anyone else that they have to choose her. Or indulge in even more blatant election fraud than they did in 2020 and hope the lapdog media can effectively sell it as "democracy" to a disgruntled public.

Mind you, after reading Erica's suggestion the Republicans normalise the practice of shoehorning in different candidates in place of those voted for in the primaries, I wonder if the media would have to work very hard on that.
