Quote from: Lokmar on November 19, 2024, 12:38:42 AMThe physics of a direct hit by a nuclear missile arent optimistic. Even our standard non nuclear bunker busters can reach passed 200 feet. While there is no public knowledge proving it, it is assumed that we have nuclear bunker busters that were developed with dark funding. The locations of many of the entrances and layouts to these tunnels have been published. Much more is likely known. Now I'm sure the Russians have remote locations under mountains that are survivable, but Vlad Q Public aint gonna be there!

Russian equipment has always been inferior to the USA's superior equipment. I think back to all the subs, tanks, airplanes, and assorted weaponry we've seen come from the USSR for the last 80 years. It was all over rated. The Kinsal missile that was supposed to be the dagger in the wests heart turned out to be slower and less advanced than air claimed by Russia. We got our hands on one so we're well aware of its capabilities. There's also the fact that our anti missile batteries shot one of these impossible to shoot missiles out of the sky.

The US population is screwed but if we had underground bunkers, they wouldnt work in large cities that are prime targets either. Besides, after you put yourself in that hole, you have to live in it and feed everyone. I think the best chance of surviveability is to live in and area away from a direct blast and not immediately downwind of one.

I remember back 25 years ago, roughly, Russia was building over 5000 underground shelters for the civilians, that were to be completed in 2012. If that happened, I don't know. Also, last I heard, here in the US, there are over 200 D.U.M.B.s, but none are for the civilians. A lot of them are even interconnected via magnetic rail systems, which are really fast.

It looks like the missiles they launched were a waste. They all got shot down.

Quote from: Biggie Smiles on November 19, 2024, 07:26:36 AMSure hope not. We'd get our asses kicked

To quote (paraphrase?) WOPR from 'WarGames':

"The only winning move is not to play."

We've allowed our economy and even our society to be structured in such a way that it *needs* perpetual war to stave off total collapse. The shot-callers (pun intended) not only won't change course... they CAN'T.

If Trump follows through on his promise to dismantle the deep/permanent state (who aren't going to simply roll over and play dead) there's a non-zero chance we can avoid the worst case scenario but given the totality of his rhetoric and the overall makeup of his appointments so far it doesn't look as if that's likely; we'll only be approaching armageddon from a slightly different angle.

I'd love to be wrong.
I'd never be so happy to admit I didn't know what the fuck I was talking about.

I'm not optimistic for that outcome.

When she tells you, you know you've been told lol.

She is everything left wing women want to believe they are but fall way short of. Intelligent. Strong. Impactful.

Could you imagine people like Oak and Murd who love to fancy themselves as educated, strong women who "intimidate" men having to go a few rounds with Kelly?

Those two wombat whales don't have the mental fortitude to go a single round with her let alone a few

Within 45 seconds Pug would be saying "you ain't worth my time" while thinking about how the fuck to crawl her fat ass the hella outta dodge

Murd is a complete air head who doesn't even know what planet she's on

What I highlighted in red was once true but doesn't apply any longer. America put sufficient pressure on Russia after the breakup of the USSR to drive them into R&D on hypersonic, MIRV, and subs (manned and unmanned), as well as COG and civilian bunker infrastructure.

The US has chased it's tail.

I don't doubt that both nations would suffer immeasurably and the world at large, but more Russians would survive and emerge from their holes than the US... unless we're just talking about leaders and core personnel.
