It's my understanding that one must be charged with a crime, or declared mentally ill by a court, before being prevented from legally purchasing/possessing firearms in the US.  

Also, back round checks are only performed by licensed gun dealers.

Ours has dropped from $210.00 to around $190.00. The slight reduction was our Scott Morrison government vying for votes and a second term. I have seen enough of that idiot back-pedalling on import issues. "It's not my job..." is his catch-phrase. I hope Australians see the sense to piss him off for good.
