Dining out and hotel accommodation have always been a rip off here. Lucky to get a flea ridden motel room for less than 120 bucks unless very remote... and a fast food combo meal is between 11-16 bucks on average....without the mega upsize option. Small coffees start at 4.50 to 6.50... pack of 30 smokes 46-55 bucks.... 700 ml bottles of crumby watered down shit whiskeys like Beam, Cougar, Old Crow 50 bucks or possibly 40-42 bucks on special.

We generally don't have basements here in Australia, but my house is on 1m brick footings. The salt from the estuarine water destroyed my herb garden bar the Sorrel...
