GIMP is fine as far as image quality but you can't lower the framerate beyond a certain point so the animations are slooow.

GIFAnimator lets me lower the framerate but it's shite at transparency.

Hi :) Have you tried some of the speed changers online? I've use this one a few times and it works pretty well. Not sure what you're specifically having a problem with.. so just throwing this out here :) Love your bf blender animations. Thanks and I'll definitely keep that in my back pocket.

On general principle I try to avoid web-based utilities.

I prefer to have things running locally, especially if my occasionally unreliable internet is acting up.

Having progz to play with gets me through times of no internet way better than the internet could get me through not having progz to play with.

I've been watching quite a few tutorials for this program and wow, there is a lot to learn. I've never done any 3d modeling before and it seems a bit overwhelming, tbh.

Before Blender I'd only ever done a little messing around with stuff like Poser and DAZ3D.

Blender is definitely the first (and so far only) software with which I've actually gotten down into the muck so to speak.

Those YouTube tutes have been invaluable.

Ducky3D, The CG Essentials, Blender Guru, etc.

I'd need a calculator to figure out how many of those clips in various categories I have bookmarked.
