Quote from: JOE on October 31, 2023, 06:55:50 PMHope it doesn't offend you, but I think the camaro is an ugly car, Prowler. And I hear the visibility is poor making safety a concern.

And I've noticed this has been commented upon a lot on the Web and YouTube.

If I paid that much for a car, it should at least be beautiful - like a work of art. But instead the camaro is $100,000+ of sheer ugliness.

shows ya money caint buy you taste.

Ugly dog, ugly car.

Oh well.

josephine, I own and race a ZLE and have never heard a single person say its ugly. It does ride like shit tho. Visibility is poor out of the back window due to the wang.

I lap the fuck outta mustang GT350's at the track all day long.

I have a "Trail Rated" Jeep Grand Cherokee, Joe.

I am starting to understand why you are so jealous of me.

Hey Lokmar, do not judge me.  This was my first time at the track with my Corvette.  I did not push it...I am just getting a feel for it.

I ran a Porsche off the road in this clip....

Very difficult to judge from these videos anyway, especially without knowing the track first hand.

Now I had this same problem, still do, but knowing the nannies are there to save your ass makes you (and me) get stabby with the throttle coming out of the slow corners and the TC kicks in to keep the ass from coming around. I  have this problem in turn 7 at Putnam Park where speeds are slow enough that the wang loses downforce. If I could offer some constructive criticism, practice easing into the throttle, trying to keep the TC from helping you. Eventually, you'll want to turn the nannies all off or go into Sport 2 (I'm assuming you're in Sport1 or Dry mode?). It looks to me like you're doing real good hitting the apex of the corners!

Cars (rear engine) like the C8 and Porsche have to get slowed down before turning into the corners and then feed the power in gradually due to understeer and then can come off the corner pretty hard to get good exit speed because of the weight over the rear tires. Enter too fast or feed power too soon and you get what happened to the guy in the Porsche.

The ZLE drives the opposite. I can ramrod it into the corner at a higher speed than most rear engine cars because  both breaking and the weight of the engine increase the front grip when the weight transitions. My exit speed suffers though because the back of the car is light and feeding the power back in takes a lighter touch. If I hit the nannies, the car backs power way down and my lap times suffer.  With Porsches, I typically just about rear end them going into the corners but they pull out of the corner on me a bit.

I bought a pair of Sparco racing shoes which helped me feel the cars rotation much better.

It's just another bubble, Frood.

The other bubble is AI.

The Venture capitalists are always looking for something to invest in and make a buck and increase the prices of stocks for shareholders. And if one bubble pops and fails, then they look for another.

Meanwhile, the sales of EV's are pretty flat these days and word has it the lots are full of unsold EV's.

You're responding to the incorrect poster, Joe.

I fear your gay proclivities and desires towards T are clouding your logic and reading comprehension abilities.

I am looking for a Retirement Planner.

You claimed that you're a CFP.

However, your demeanour on this forum leads me to believe that this not the case.

You don't seem very professional.

But if you really are in fact a CFP, you just talked yourself out of a job and some lucrative commissions.

Gotta go elsewhere for advice from a real professional I'm afraid.

Maybe this guy is better than you, DKG:

Oh well, there's always someone more qualified who can step up to the plate.

don't bite the hand that feeds you DKG.

Frood

Did you mean that reply to DKG or somebody completely different?

Thiel is under your skin....

And I reckon it's a delightful warmth which is causing all of these gaping openings of yours...

Well DKG claims he's a CFP .

Since you live in Australia, maybe you don't know what that means.

In Canada, it's called a Certified Financial Planner.

They take care of retirement planning.

I don't know what the equivalent is in Australia tho

Frood

But....did you fuck up and address the wrong person because you were daydreaming about Thiel and yourself dirty dancing between the sheets, Joe?

The mode I had it on is Track mode....but I have options under that...three levels of TC depending on the "Performance Mode" that you pick...I had it totally on because I am just getting used to the car.  I really should have taken it off for a few laps; I will sometime in the future.  Then I can practice your advice.  I think I will only be heading to the track about once a year.

I have had TC off on city streets (with no traffic around) and when the wheels break loose, it is very manageable.
