Correct me if I am wrong, but the core four or five members have been posting together for close to twenty years going back to a forum called Discover Vancouver that was pronounced dead more than a decade ago.

That same group is highly suspicious of anyone who joins. It didn't make me want to stick around. It didn't make Biggie Smiles want to stick around either.

its not designed to "make" ppl want to stick around.... its there and it remains there.... if you stick around, its because you decided to stick around.... i'm so conservative i make the founding fathers look like moderates.... i'm not there to be "agreed with".... i'm there because i WANT to be there and i wouldn't trade that place or the posters there (all the posters. asal and oscar and eddie included) for all the tea in china....

I am glad you found a posting home you like. And perhaps if I had stuck around they would even get used to my boring fiscal conservatism.

I will say this about VF. Although my presence wasn't really welcome, it is the only other forum I would ever have registered at. That is because the owner of that forum believes in free speech and a marketplace of ideas like I do. The owners of BF and CBT are the exact opposite. They abuse their panels, censor posts, and even doxx posters.

its never a case of a person "not being welcome".... negative responses more often than not are provoked.... ppl who are "internet famous" coming there as if their reputation proceeds them.... it doesn't matter who you thought you were, when you're a new person there then you're just new.... and all the "big brain" motherfuckers that come there with a list of "improvments".... throw the list away.... nobody cares....

As I said, the core members are an insular group that have together for a long time. And as I also said, had I stuck around, they might have even gotten used to a boring fiscal hawk. But, I don't have the patience for that anymore.
