Quote from: deadskinmask on December 12, 2023, 01:00:03 PMlook, man.... they've already proven they can steal an election.... and they've already proven that they can dismiss it from even going to court.... and they're currently proving (via trump) that if a candidate challenges their grip on control, they'll go to jail.... as you can see, they no longer even need to "campaign".... there is no repulican "party".... there is no democratic "party".... they have all the bars in place and now they're putting a roof on the cage....
But, we are talking about Argentina and whether Mr Millei is a libertarian who will deliver shock therapy to his country's moribund economy or he is a socialist agent of the WEF.

I'm not going to say you are wrong about him. Time will tell what kind of a leader Javier Millei is. So far, I like what I see.

The fact that he called liberals "shit" on public television and then doubled down by saying "because they are!" when asked why he calls them shit earned him a permanent place on my good side.

He'd have to do something pretty damn fucked up to fall out of grace after a wonderful performance like that.

Good. I fucking hate liberals.

Quote from: DKG on December 12, 2023, 12:01:55 PMSmall government is smart government.

Javier Milei, Argentina's new libertarian president, has wasted no time amputating various bureaucratic tentacles.

Within hours of being sworn into office on Sunday, Milei made good on his vow to take a "chainsaw" both to government spending and to what he called his country's "political caste," signing an executive order to cut the number of government ministries from 18 to nine. :good:
How can you think that was good for Argentinians without knowing any details. Do you even know which departments he cut. Will this involve cuts to essential services like health care, education, pensions, elder care and so on.

"democratic" policies are destructive by design and the "republican" party hasn't been productive for quite some time.... reagan was a good president and trump was a decent president.... but apart from those two, the republican party is little more than "controlled opposition" and a bookmark for poisonous democratic policy.... they have their safeguards firmly in place.... and ppl are fast becoming obsolete.... as the next election approaches, you'll see politicians blatantly disregard "the will of the ppl" because they no longer have to appease the masses.... we didn't "end up here" accidentally.... and government won't save you from government....

If he didn't before, then he does now. Or at least he knows the ones Javier Milei intends to cut (if we are to be pedantic about it) along with the ones he intends to retain to get the country moving forwards.
Her fucking fupa looked like a pair of ass cheeks... like someone naked ran into her head first and got stuck. She was like "come eat me out" and I was like "nah I think I'll go snort some anthrax and light myself on fire instead"

I have been saying for quite some time that democracy needs an overhaul. Especially here in North Anmerica.

Even More pain coming to Argentina DKG.
I suspect the poor there will feel it even more than they are now.

Um no. A stronger currency, smaller government, and shrinking deficits means less inflation/greater buying power for the masses.

And even under the most idealistic scenario, the pain has to come first DKG.

we need a smaller government and we need to bust ppls heads open for calling us a "democracy" and then when they regain consciousness gently remind them we're a "constitutional republic"....  :crampe:

Forty percent of the population lives in poverty. They have been in pain for a long time. This is why Argentines elected a reformer.

I agree. But, not with the busting people's heads open part though.

thats the paradox and thats why we will never cure "liberalism".... they want to remove our collective rights and we want to preserve the constitution.... "democracy" can violate the constitution.... but to fight it, we need to violate all these liberals rights.... its unfixable....

There'll be a lot of cuts and pain if Pollievre and the Tories get in here, DKG.

However I agree that the Liberals under Trudeau II have been reckless & have blown Canada's budget. So it's inevitable that cuts are a comin' one day.
