I've never dated them either but have mates divorced from them and I've worked with a couple of young Sheila professionals fresh out of Uni.

In my own experience, they were (those two) solely focused on position and reputation... but they were inexperienced as hell and wouldn't listen to practical experiences aka past mishaps that I witnessed in my tenure in a company which  changed hands.

They (both engineering grads) were like "we need to do this/these things"...

...I was like, "it was tried. It almost killed twice. It's off the table."

And then they pulled up their "engineering" degrees... (mind you, they were 22 and 24 years old at the time, I was 28)...and told me in no uncertain terms that they were highly trained professionals and I was just a set of hands, therefore we would be be trying to cut 90-130 millimetre thick industrial mining rubber with a hand circular saw...



          

I didn't bother trading subtle insults back at that point. I just went to the owners and said "you ever seen a carpentry circular launch out of a cut at 70 kilometres per hour and nearly decapitate or halve a person?"

20 minutes later, those young Japanese cunts were so mad, they left.... they went home "sick"...

That's very anti Japanese culture.

But... fuck em.. I tried to be delicate and supportive in the beginning... then the claws and egos came out, and I had to go John Wayne in the Quiet Man.

Bitches never forgave me after that..

Sorry to hear about your experience with those 2 twats, you've saved their lives but looks like they wanted face instead instead of feeling feel grateful that no one got seriously injured. 

I have only hand saw a few about human height trees nor know much about much sawing, but when you mentioned the part they wanted to cut a big piece of rubber with a electric powered saw does kind of makes my ass a bit clenchy.

Look like they'll eventually have to learn the hard way.  Sadly Japan's peer pressure or bullying problems will never go away thanks to those 2 dumbasses, which they're better off sweeping floors or making coffee.

I am mostly German, but mother's mother was Japanese. Born in Japan, came to Canada as kid and was interned during World War 2. I wish I knew more about that part of my heritage.
