He is hated by Ukrainians. He is using the excuse of war to delay an election that he is guaranteed to lose without massive cheating and/or US interference. He had one of his main political rivals who wants to negoitiate an end to the war killed. There was a July 20 type plot to overthrow him and put in a temporary military government until a peace settlement and an election could be held, but Zelenskyy was able to thwart it. No doubt with intel from his American puppeteers.

Once upon a time Ukraine was a part of the great Soviet Union was it not? As were many of these other territories we are actively trying to use as provacators in an effort to keep the money laundering machine in full swing

and when these territories were a part of the USSR were they any stronger? No. they still collapsed

and so they collapsed and broke off into these smaller units with the overwhelming majority of military gear remaining under the control of the country Putin now runs.

that very same military has basically languished and is in disrepair and Ukraine needs BILLIONS of our tax payer dollars just to remain afloat

with circumstances such as these on BOTH sides what makes you believe Putin will be in any greater a position to do us harm than he is today if he conquers all of them?
 

Again, I go back to my original question - what resources, either natural or otherwise, does Ukraine have dominion over that would make them such a vital asset to a war effort?
