When I was going out on ministry to the clinics (yes I was that religious, anti choice extremist out in front of that death mill pleading for tiny humans. And no matter what you hear about people who do that...many women did turn to us for help. And we all helped them. There is a whole wall at church with pictures of babies who are alive today because we were out there and gave mom more options and hope).

I stopped being surprised seeing cars with the Jesus fish and people who would say "God will forgive us" as they walked into the death mill. I saw Maga stickers.

It isn't just the democrats and it makes me sick with sorrow.

Nothing is more weak to me than people who don't believe their beliefs and refuse to stand on their convictions.

Absolutely. I'd tell you to "be the change you want to see in others", but it would be redundant; you already are.

But you cannot make that choice for some stranger. They're adults too, even if you and I can agree they have a disturbingly warped idea on how to act like one. Their babies are not yours and yours are not theirs.

That's where you draw the line. Congratulations on inculcating your moral values in your children, I have no doubt that in the fulness of time you will be rewarded with the joys of being a grandmother. Deservedly so.

Those others? You cannot fix them and forcing them to live up to their responsibilities as parents will only end badly. You can't make them into good parents by legislating away their deplorable habits; if you try, you're only increasing the length of time that newborn will suffer... as much as four score years and ten, I believe the going rate is.

I admire your passion on this issue, and it says a lot about your moral foundation that you are so passionate about it.  But as I pointed out above and before in conversations with you, it is an issue that has already been won from a Constitutional point of view, but is a moot point and a losing issue on the National stage.  The issue now resides with the States, so your passion is best served by trying to shape policy you favor closer to home,  (Good luck with that in Michigan.)

 But even if we get him...it's just going to be a break. A bit of a grace period.

 When I think about this and how unfair I feel it is, I remind myself that we have fucking abortion vans handing out heavy meds to young women so they have painful and traumatic miscarriages. I think how so many assholes don't care about caution and figure "I'll just get an abortion" and go ahead and be irresponsible.

 I don't even hardly pay attention to them on media or on socail media or any of it anymore. Mike (my wonderful man) keeps me posted on major things and if I want to know more I read about it and we talk.

 He listens to Mark Lavine(?) All the time and when we sit down for dinner I ask him to turn off the yelling lol. It's also Mark Lavine and Tim Pool.

 He is freelance writer and listens to these podcasts all the time.  He is going to be writing about politics probably until January now.

 So I get my info from him and I live my life like the country isn't falling apart.
