Quote from: Dove on August 24, 2024, 08:04:32 AMThis woman I went through my program with relapsed. She has had 4 children. Her two older ones are 15 and 11, and she has a 6 year old.

She had one between the 11 and 6 year old that she put up for adoption. She's Facebook friends with the adoptive mother.

The older ones are from the same dad and he died years ago from drug overdose.  Her 6 year old is from a different guy. This guy doesn't do drugs but he is a piece of shit.

She lost custody of the 6 year old and there is a no contact order because she's so fucking batshit.

For the past 8 days....she has been posting 4 to 6 posts an hour. Just spitting out unhinged posts with machine gun regularity for days. Then she deletes shit.

She's been accusing everyone of child abuse. Accusing her uncle of secually molesting her daughter and a bunch of other kids in the family.  She's posting insane conspiracy shit. She's saying she's filled God spirit and that the "witches" who were burned were just women filled with the holy ghost.

She called for a boycott on Doordarsh. She's been tagging Kamala Harris in her posts.

Omg. I should show you the screen shots I took. Me and a friend of mine who was also in the program (I made one super good close friend that I adore that I'm keeping in my life, she's married with kids and our kids are even close. I'm good friends with her and her husband and her kids call me "bonus mom" lol) have both been watching her go for days and taking screen shots for eachother in case she deletes it before we both get to see it lol.

She is on there Facebook fighting with her family. She called her 93 year old grandma a bag of shit and has been just going buck nuts.

I think it's fentynol AND meth.

When she was with her ex, she became convinced that he was cheating on her and hiding his other women in the walls of his house. So she tore the walls out.

 Just crazy shit.

Did you see the movie 'Groundhog Day'?

I catch flack on BF for posting via movie references but I feel when different people see the same thing, even if a different subjective opinion emerges; there is a single reference point for discussion.

Bill Murray cannot save the homeless man. Try as he might, try as he may, every day being the same day Bill lives over and over the homeless man dies.

It is an exercise in futility.  Unlike Lokmar, I can't concede to just offing these people, but what I will admit is no one can save them all.  Even God if that sumbiatch exists can't save everyone because in giving people their own decision making power, means they will choose to destroy themselves.

I know the homeless man in Groundhog Day was old and it was his time, so nothing to do with substance abuse but my point still stands that we can only save those who's time has not yet come and who also choose to save themselves.

In the 1992 film A River Runs Through It:
"For it is true, we can seldom help those closest to us. Either we don't know what part of ourselves to give or, more often than not, the part we have to give is not wanted. And so it
is those we live with and should know who elude us. But we can still love them - we can love completely without complete understanding."

If we can't even help those closest to us like a mother or father, what chance do we have of saving a stranger?

Tony Horton said, "Do your best, forget the rest."

While this was in reference to self health, it encompasses life.

Be a sail collecting wind at your back to propel yourself forward and yet still stand tall, if slim, when life just plain blows... more than it blows for you.

Some god or evolution has left us adrift alone as Paul Simon sung as an island to see whether we weather the storm of the gift of life or sink to extinction.

Lokmar

Look, there's always gonna be good vs evil but in the past, whenever evil got to a certain tipping point, it got culled. We are far far too civilized now and refuse to take out ANY of the trash. When the end comes, it will be epic, but not in a good way.

In the Vietnam war American soldiers would go back to gather up the dead & search for the lving left behind.

The North Viet Cong communists would use this info to lay in wait. They wouldn't give a fuck about their dying & dead.

If humanity goes in a direction where we would rather not give a fuck about our dying & dead than risk life to save life or risk life to preserve the dignity of life then fuck us, we are doomed already if a majority believe this horseshit.

I've spoken to Vietnamese born there who cant go back because they are now considered enemies of the state since they criticized the Communist government.

No doubt without US intervention South Vietnam would have fallen much sooner.

But still I wonder what kind of country the US would be today if JFK lived & they did what he wanted...which was to pull out of South Vietnam. According to historians he wanted to get out but his successor LBJ pushed America back in.

Thats where its going to go. We already rip fully developed children from the womb, children who can survive unaided by medical intervention, and we murder them. Right now, democRATs fight to preserve this "right". There's not even any strategic reason for this shit.

What the VC did was good tactics, being that they believed they were fighting to free their land from foreigners. The VC fought like Hamas is today. Speaking of which, Hamas is winning the PR war because baby shit soft jews blame Netanyahu for their family members being smoked by Hamas instead of the palestinians for wanting to exterminate all jews. The correct course of action is for the jew to unite in unison behind the idea that paletrashians need to be exterminated as a people and then do it.

Historically, God has approved this very thing in the past.

Bringing it back to topic, Western People have fought long and hard to save everyone. There is no shortage of charity and bending over backwards to make everyones lives better. Clearly, it isnt working and no amount of money and feels is going to make it better.

I was addicted to heroin and I've been clean for nearly 11 years.

Okay 10 years since last May.

That being said when I was in early recovery and I saw people with a year clean relapse hard....I really thought if they can't do it, I never will.

So I may as well just go overdose and die because I'll never be okay again.

Now that I have extensive clean time, I see it differently. I know that the real hard parts of recovery come in those first two years because your brain produces NONE of its own dopamine. So I had no dopamine in my brain and the soul crushing depression is hard. You feel like a ghost of your former self and as if life is futile.

I had another determination though and reducing myself to brain chemicals helped me alot. I did everything to stimulate dopamine production. Started working out and running and eating healthy.

I never should have gotten married but I wouldn't have my daughter if I did. So. I did TOO much but I never relapsed.

People CAN get better BUT...I think for most, it's unlikely. Most will end up dead or in prison. Once they end up zombies on the streets...I think meaningingful recovery is unlikely. Until that person decides they want an actual life....they'll never have the strength to do it.

I agree with you, and I'm always going to stand on my convictions but, I feel we are doomed.

Some good news for a change.

Sweet Briar College, a women's school in Virginia, recently announced that it will no longer admit trans-identifying students, citing its founder's will.

The private women's liberal arts school, which was established in 1901 through the estate of Indiana Fletcher Williams, did not previously have any policies regarding gender identity. However, recent changes to the Common Application, a nonprofit organization that allows students to apply to schools on one standardized form, prompted the college to make some changes of its own.

According to the school, the board "must honor the dictates of the will, which imposes the requirement that the College be a place of 'girls and young women' – a phrase that must be interpreted as it was understood at the time the will was written."

The Democrats will want the federal governmment to force the college to accept trans women.
