According to National Border Patrol Council President Paul Perez, morale among Border Patrol agents has surged following Trump's victory. He noted that agents have expressed their happiness through numerous calls and messages.

Perez said, "There are a lot of agents that had originally said that they would retire if President Trump did not win. And now those same agents are saying they're going to hold back on their retirement because they want to serve under this administration again, because they know exactly how it was during this first administration, and they know this one's going to be even better."

Ken Cuccinelli stated that "you will see our military used between legal ports of entry, especially on the southern border, to finally gain control of that border" adding that "all immigration, all passage of any kind, will pass through legal ports of entry only."

The President-elect's agenda, known as Agenda 47, includes plans to redeploy thousands of troops from overseas to the southern border. This military presence is intended to combat illegal immigration and drug cartels, which Trump has labeled the "enemy from within."

Cuccinelli said, "If you're sitting in, pick a country in Central or South America, 'cause they still have the biggest numbers coming into the United States, and you're asking yourself the question, 'Am I gonna spend my life savings on some coyote to get me into the United States, when what I see happening at the border is a complete blockage?' The answer to that is no."

Perez emphasized the importance of policies like "Remain in Mexico" to deter illegal crossings. He believes Trump's leadership will send a strong message to cartels and support victims of crime.

Perez said, "Remain in Mexico, the end of catch release, obviously, that's a big one as well. But Remain in Mexico will probably turn the magnet off. It will allow us to secure the border even better."
