Yeah, I think many people are generally intimidated by open debate or simply not interested in giving their point of view across to strangers or those that aren't in their circle of friends.

I think a lot of the older people who spend hours on the forums are probably living in a created virtual reality where the forums have become their "friends and family". It's like that game The SIMs, they become real life SIMS and the forum is their home.

You recall that old tv show The Waltons where at the end everyone is saying "Good Night Jim Bob" ect, you see that same behavior in the shoutbox at BF, it gives me the creeps.
