Quote from: Thiel on December 14, 2024, 04:11:19 PMAlmost 30,000 people slated for deportation have vanished and the Canada Border Services Agency has no clue where they all are.

According to a story by Postmedia reporter Bryan Passifiume, 21,325 are from Ontario. Another 6,109 are missing in Quebec, 1,390 in B.C. and 705 from Alberta.

I bet some government agency is working to help hide them! FACT!

Joe Biden is rushing to do as much damage as possible before leaving office.

Along with bailing out his son, he's racing to funnel billions of taxpayer dollars to Ukraine. Rather than de-escalating tensions or seeking a resolution to the conflict, Biden seems hell-bent on edging the world closer to the precipice of World War III. This is not hyperbole.

'Provoked' author Scott Horton talks to Align about the dangerous lie at the heart of America's foreign policy.

'Trump must be brutally honest with the American and Ukrainian people, just as he had the courage to do in the case of Afghanistan.'

Scott Horton, the author of "Provoked," delivers an unflinching and meticulously-researched critique of U.S. foreign policy, laying bare how Washington reignited Cold War tensions with Russia and set the stage for the current crisis in Ukraine.

In telling the story of how successive administrations pursued policies designed to antagonize Russia, dismiss its security concerns, and provoke the conflict that now rages, Horton — who was recently accused of being a Russian propagandist on "Piers Morgan Uncensored" — leaves no stone unturned.

A coalition of more than 100 lawmakers wrote a letter on Sunday urging President Biden to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA), which would outlaw gender discrimination in the Constitution.

"We must continue our efforts to fully affirm and recognize the equality of rights for all people, regardless of sex, as part of our Constitution, a vital effort that has never been more urgent," Congress members penned.

What they have in mind would undo decades of progress for women.

characterization in the press, Trump is 'smarter' than all his critics.
CNN talking head Van Jones spoke at length Friday to his former colleague Chris Cillizza about the American political class' failure to understand which way the wind is blowing and how it knocked them over on Nov. 5.

Jones, a former Obama adviser who had several weeks to get over his election-night despair, was particularly candid about how President-elect Donald Trump was able to electorally crush Kamala Harris and retake the White House, underscoring that Trump outsmarted his critics, particularly those in the media who "misread" his appeal and extra-political strategy.

After suggesting that the liberal political establishment is "all screwed up" and detached from the electorate and its wants and needs, Jones likened the media's predictions in the lead-up to the election to the ancient practice whereby a haruspex would read omens from animal entrails.

"There used to be a time back in the day that they would cut a pig open, and they would throw the pig entrails on the ground to try to read and divine the future, right. It would be like asking, 'Did you think that you misread the pig entrails?' Like we were so off," said Jones. "We weren't reading the actual electorate at all. For instance, we were using completely outdated terms and modes of analysis and concepts like 'swing voter,' 'moderate voter,' 'male voter,' 'female voter.' None of that stuff is what Donald Trump's team was focused on."

This would not have saved their war and open borders agenda.

Agroup of Democratic U.S.senators on Monday introduced legislation intended to end the Electoral College.

"Eleven blue states will decide the president," said "LevinTV" host Mark Levin in October. "All the rest of the country — the 39 other states, tens of millions of people — will literally have no say in the election of the president."

He went on to explain that all of the campaigning would take place in populous cities, and rural Americans would be completely neglected.

"The big metropolitan cities will decide who's president, which would be an utter and complete disaster, but the Democrat Party wants monopoly," he added.

What a fukin delusional nigger! This is real simple: the democRATs gave us shit tons of inflation and cater to mexcrements. They pissed on America's head and told em its raining. Then, they tried to wash it down our throats with "Orange Man Hitler"

If Trump is Hitler its democRATs fault just like Weimar and Treaty of Versailles gave us ACTUAL Hitler!! All democRATs had to do was GAF about America and Americans more than mexcrements and Trump would have lost.

Matt Gaetz issued a statement.

In an apparent attempt to get ahead of the release, Gaetz issued a statement on X Wednesday providing some context for what the American people might read about him in the days to come as well as about the alleged nature of the people who conducted the investigation.

"The Biden/Garland DOJ spent years reviewing allegations that I committed various crimes," wrote Gaetz, who was briefly President-elect Donald Trump's pick to run the Justice Department. "I was charged with nothing: FULLY EXONERATED. Not even a campaign finance violation. And the people investigating me hated me."

Gaetz claimed his days of hard partying were 'embarrassing, though not criminal.'
Republicans on the House Ethics Committee voted last month to block the results of the panel's investigation into former Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, which apparently detail claims that Gaetz had sex with a minor and engaged in illicit drug use. On Dec. 5, House Republicans spiked a Democratic-pushed resolution to release the report. That same day, the committee indicated it had resumed discussions of "the matter of Representative Matt Gaetz."

Unnamed sources told CNN and confirmed to The Hill this week that the House Ethics Committee ultimately voted in secret to release the report before year's end.

'I probably partied, womanized, drank, and smoked more than I should have earlier in life.'

"Then, the very 'witnesses' DOJ deemed not-credible were assembled by House Ethics to repeat their claims absent any cross-examination or challenge from me or my attorneys. I've had no chance to ever confront any accusers. I've never been charged. I've never been sued," continued the former Florida congressman. "Instead, House Ethics will reportedly post a report online that I have no opportunity to debate or rebut as a former member of the body."

"In my single days, I often sent funds to women I dated — even some I never dated but who asked. I dated several of these women for years. I NEVER had sexual contact with someone under 18," Gaetz said in his statement. "Any claim that I have would be destroyed in court — which is why no such claim was ever made in court."

Gaetz continued, writing, "My 30s were an era of working very hard — and playing hard too. It's embarrassing, though not criminal, that I probably partied, womanized, drank, and smoked more than I should have earlier in life. I live a different life now."

The former congressman added, "But at least I didn't vote for CRs that f*** over the country!"

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis was disqualified from the Georgia case that accused President-elect Donald Trump of attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

On Thursday, Willis was removed from the case due to her affair with special prosecutor Nathan Wade, who has since stepped down. The decision overturned a lower court's ruling to allow Willis to remain on the case.

The indictment still stands though.

Joe Biden is set to leave office on a record-low note. According to a national Marquette Law School poll released Wednesday, the 82-year-old Democrat has a disapproval rating nearly as high as that recently secured by Canada's Justin Trudeau, also apparently on his way out with a soiled legacy.

Meanwhile, President-elect Donald Trump's approval rating is the highest it has been since Marquette started asking Americans in March to reflect on how he handled his first term.

According to the poll, which was conducted from Dec. 2-11, Biden's approval rating fell from 38% in October to 34% this month, while his disapproval rating jumped over the same period from 62% to 66%. The closest Biden previously got to this record-high disapproval rating was 65% just after his ouster as Democratic presidential candidate in July.

When asked about how Trump handled his job while president in March, 49% of respondents signaled approval. In Marquette's latest poll, Trump's approval rating was 53%.

If the House fails to approve a new spending bill by midnight tonight, the government would partially shut down.

Thiel

With a government shutdown narrowly avoided late Friday into Saturday morning, the House and Senate sent a funding bill to President Joe Biden's desk.

Under the proposal, the 118-page bill contains most of the provisions that were put in place in the bipartisan bill that was agreed to on Wednesday. The bill includes $100 billion for disaster aid, $30 billion for farmers and a one-year extension of the farm bill, provisions that were under heavy debate prior to this week's votes.

Sorry Dove, I haven't read the details of it yet.

I don't have a problem with them getting a raise, but forty percent. Good luck selling that to their constituents.

Disaster relief and the Farm giveaways should have been a separate bill.

This overspending shit ain't gonna get fixed until they actually start fixing it.

It wasn't a 40% raise, it was a 3.8%... Haven't been able to find if they received a raise in the final bill, tho.
