For the first time in my life I will be voting Conservative in the next federal election.

Pierre Poilivere will be our prime minister next Christmas. Americans are taking notice of the guy and they like what they see.

QuoteAmericans don't really want Canada to become the 51st state, but seem to like the idea of Pierre Poilievre becoming the country's next prime minister.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau may be grabbing the headlines, but the compliments are going to Poilievre. While the country waits to see what in-check Trudeau's next chess move will be, much of the world is already looking at who opinion polls indicate will be Canada's next prime minister.

Some like what they see from the Conservative leader.

It's not a "Joe who?" situation that Joe Clark experienced when he took office in 1979 after a dozen years of Pierre Trudeau at the helm. This time around, not only do people in the United States and others around the world know Poilievre's name, but they are impressed with him.

"He seems great," the world's richest human, Elon Musk, wrote
https://x.com/GadSaad/status/1869400477869461734?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1869428687998988635%7Ctwgr%5E824cf377c2278df2926d6f50cbb5426a9f85e0a4%7Ctwcon%5Es2_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftorontosun.com%2Fnews%2Fnational%2Fwarmington-u-s-plaudits-pour-in-for-poilievre-as-trudeau-clings-to-power
He was responding to a post from Canadian author and professor Gad Saad, in which he said, "I had forgotten what it was like to have a Canadian leader with a brain. Keep going, Pierre Poilievre."

Not only did Musk agree with this, but so too did American billionaire hedge-fund CEO Bill Ackman, who posted to X by saying, "Make Canada Great Again," and, "Pierre Poilievre is extremely impressive. He should be Canada's next leader. The sooner the better."

If it were only that easy.

Justin Trudeau may be on the political ropes, but appears to be as defiant as ever to stay on to try to fight an election in 2025. No matter how many people on his side of the aisle and entities like the Toronto Police Association tell him to pack it in, he seems stubborn and is not reading the room the same way.

At a time when the U.S. went back to Trump, many are appearing to embrace Canada swinging to the right, too.

"Meet Pierre Poilievre: Canada's Conservative front-runner and potential next PM," influencer Mario Nawfal posted to X. "Poilievre is a lifelong conservative focused on freedom, smaller government, and personal responsibility. As a senior cabinet minister under Stephen Harper, he built a reputation for tackling red tape, lowering taxes, and opposing runaway spending.
https://x.com/MarioNawfal/status/1869434617331110373?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1869434617331110373%7Ctwgr%5E824cf377c2278df2926d6f50cbb5426a9f85e0a4%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftorontosun.com%2Fnews%2Fnational%2Fwarmington-u-s-plaudits-pour-in-for-poilievre-as-trudeau-clings-to-power
"With a clear majority in current polls, his leadership promises bold economic reforms and a return to government as a servant of the people."

Then there is Jeanine Pirro on Fox News' The Five, who said, "His speeches are incredible."
https://x.com/stephen_taylor/status/1869200100574281774?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1869200100574281774%7Ctwgr%5E824cf377c2278df2926d6f50cbb5426a9f85e0a4%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftorontosun.com%2Fnews%2Fnational%2Fwarmington-u-s-plaudits-pour-in-for-poilievre-as-trudeau-clings-to-power
His trip to Mar-a-Lago didn't quiet down Trump and his massive deficit-ladened fall economic statement is certainly in contrast to the direction the U.S. is planning to go with Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy focusing on government efficiency. Poilievre is on board with such a philosophy; he wants to cut waste, crime, drugs and woke madness and spur on a time of economic growth instead of nasty, small and smug political correctness, lockdowns and cancel culture that spew from Trudeau and NDP power-broker Jagmeet Singh.
https://x.com/joe_warmington/status/1869106035337867382?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1869106035337867382%7Ctwgr%5E824cf377c2278df2926d6f50cbb5426a9f85e0a4%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Ftorontosun.com%2Fnews%2Fnational%2Fwarmington-u-s-plaudits-pour-in-for-poilievre-as-trudeau-clings-to-power
Poilievre is a ray of light at the end of long period of darkness. As people get to know him more, they are learning he's not fostering division but instead wanting to move the country away from the Trudeau-style post-national state. He wants a Canadian renaissance where there is no need to talk about becoming an American state but be a strong, respected neighbour of the U.S. and an economic and security partner.

It's time for Poilievre to be the new champion. The only remaining stumbling block is the old, beaten-down champ Trudeau is not quite ready to give up the belt.

I am hoping it works out for you all in Canada because its been too long waiting for Trump to pick up the reigns in the USA, Biden is behaving dispicably in his dying throes and Truedope might behave the same way out of spite. The left have become obscenely spiteful in the last decade.

It's not just the Americans that are eagerly awaiting the election of Pierre Poilivere. Europeans are also warming up to Mr Poilivere. Even centre-left European governments are tired of Trudeau. European companies want to put some badly needed foreign investment dollars into Canada. Specifically, the energy sector. But, Trudeau told them there was no business case for liquefied natural gas export facilities.

One man, told thousands of Canadians no good paying jobs for you. One dictator decided for forty one million people they do not need extra revenue for healthc care and infrastructure transfers.

True Dope was known globally in a superficial way when he was elected over 9 years ago. Now the world knows about him. They wonder how a leader who devastated the middle class, destroys free speech, is so corrupt, is so unethical and tramples the constitution can remain in power.

Chrystia Freeland resigned from her post, citing disagreements with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on, as she described "reckless spending" and fiscal irresponsbility.

She announced her resignation in a letter to Trudeau on Monday, in which she said the two have been "at odds about the best path forward for Canada", and pointed to the "grave challenges" posed by dangerous overspending. She has listed several exmaples, including the most recent "GST Holiday" which she believes is a "senseless political gimmick".

In an interview with Vassy Kapelos

Vassy Kapelos: "The entire nation has read your resignation letter to the Prime Minister. And now you've requested this interview to tell your side of the story. Can you tell us how this has happened so sudden and unexpectedly?"

Chrystia Freeland: "To be clear, I saw this coming even before the Prime Minister asked me to resign last week. We've been at odds for quite some time now.. I've pleaded for fiscal austerity and some level of restraint on all the reckless spending, but he won't listen. Not to me, not to anyone."

Vassy Kapelos: "So you're saying that the $250 cheques to be sent out, the GST holiday, all of this was ordered by Trudeau and you had nothing to do with it?"

Chrystia Freeland: "Exactly. And you know, I even had a solution to the overspending that would fix the economy as well but Justin wouldn't go for it."

We would not have to lose sleep over tariffs if we had a real leader who would put his ccountry first and do something about illegal aliens and narcotics crossing the border.

QuoteIn the wake of Donald Trump repeatedly saying Canada should become the 51st state, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says it is a further sign that Canada needs new leadership.

In an exclusive interview with the Toronto Sun, Poilievre said Trump is seeing the weakness in the Trudeau government, currently in disarray, and he's trying to take advantage of that weakness.

"That's why we need a strong, smart prime minister who has the brains and backbone to first and foremost say to President Trump, Canada will never be the 51st state. We will be an independent, proud, sovereign country, as we always have been," Poilievre said.

That doesn't mean Poilievre believes Canada should take a combative stance against the American president. In fact, while Poilievre admitted there are problems with illegal immigration from Canada to the United States and troubles with illicit drugs, he said those are problems we should want to fix ourselves.

"I want to secure our border, not to please President Trump or any American, but to save our own families," Poilievre said.

He pointed to the deadly toll fentanyl has taken in Canada, more than 47,000 people have died from overdoses of this deadly drug.

"That's more than died in the Second World War fighting for Canada. I mean, it is astonishing how deadly the liberalization of drugs under this NDP-Liberal government has been," he said.

"The president has raised some reasonable concerns about the broken liberal border and our military, and I would respond by saying, we do need to reinforce our border with drones, helicopters, boots on the ground, and other high-performing technology to keep drugs and guns from crossing, to stop human trafficking."

It sounds like common sense, which is sorely lacking in Ottawa.

The Trudeau Liberals had been hoping the re-election of Donald Trump would lead to a Trump bump for their political fortunes. That hasn't happened, at least not according to any public polling that is available.

"President Trump has always put America first. Well, I will always put Canada first," Poilievre said.

After years of a Trudeau government that has appeared to put the Liberal Party or international organizations and aspirations first, it's refreshing to hear a leader say Canada and Canadians should come first.

Canada desperately needs an election and a new government. But thanks to NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, we won't be getting one anytime soon.

Canadians can rest assured though that when that time comes, the Poilievre-led Conservative Party will be a government in waiting, ready to take over and right what is wrong with this country.

Pierre Poilievre says the turmoil surrounding Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's grasp on power amounts to little more than a clown show.

"Justin Trudeau has lost control of immigration, lost control of the borders, lost control of spending, debt, inflation, housing prices, crime. He's lost control of everything and now he's lost control of his own government, with his top minister and closest friend leaving him and saying his deficits are ruining our economy."

Trudeau's government just missed its deficit target last year by 50 per cent and this current year by over 20 per cent.
