Gender identity refers to:

[a] person's deeply-felt, inherent sense of being a boy, a man, or male; a girl, a woman, or female; or an alternative gender (e.g., genderqueer, gender non-conforming, boygirl, ladyboy) which may or may not correspond to a person's sex assigned at birth or to a person's primary or secondary sex characteristics. Since gender identity is internal, a person's gender identity is not necessarily visible to others.

Gender cannot simultaneously be socially constructed and inherent to the individual.

Gender identity cannot be simultaneously self-chosen and the product of socialization.

Gender identity cannot simultaneously be invisible and socially verifiable.

The human experience is not divided into separate biological and socially constructed parts.

The mere difference between gender and sex doesn't mean that one replaces the other. If sex and gender are different, then one doesn't replace the other. Self-identification is but one form of identification. It doesn't replace identification by other means.

The women athletes should refuse to compete with males.

I do not care if an obvious male wants to identify as a woman. It is none of my business. But, I will never use female pronouns on a fraud like Lia Thomas because he demands I do so.

I can't even believe this is a thing. There are two genders and in very rare cases intersex. Having said that, what adults do is their own business. The "trans movement", if it can be called that, crossed the line when they began targeting children. The entire trans narrative is further proof that America needs to make asylums great again.
