I like being up on a mountain with my jeep when its coming down. Be the only tracks to be seen.

I'd hate to be on the roads in Australia if we ever got hit with a blizzard and ice in the lower lying elevations near the cities. I'd be fine having grown up with it but most aussies would become road missiles.

Sometimes I ponder how to escape my village in semi mountainous terrain should  an ice storm stick through the day or for many days.

Small 2 lane winding roads, few guardrails, cavalier residents. Yeah, nah. It would be like playing Russian roulette.

I know.  People are fucking idiots every first real snow of the season.  I'm glad I don't have to commute any more in that shit.

I can't decide what I hated more about Canada-the snow or the snowflakes.

I'm seeing reports of panic buying and empty shelves in the Midwest and some parts of the NE, mostly in built up areas.

We got about 5" of snow here. As usual, the stores empty out when a storm is predicted. Nothing new whatsoever.

Better you than me, Illini brother.  All clear here, just Canadian cold.
