Mark Carney won't say yes to pipelines — and that says everything.

He keeps getting asked a simple question: Do you support building new pipelines to get Canadian energy to new markets?

And every time, he dodges.

Just the other day, when asked in French, Carney replied: "Not necessarily pipelines, but maybe pipelines — we'll see."

That's not leadership. That's a slick non-answer from a man who's built his career trying to shut down Canada's energy industry.

Canadians don't believe Mark Carney's claim that a hidden carbon on business won't cost them personally.

A national poll asking Canadians who they think ultimately pays the cost of industrial carbon taxes and here are the results:

44 per cent say most of the cost is passed on to consumers
26 per cent say some of the cost is passed on to consumers
9 per cent say businesses pay most of the cost
21 per cent don't know
And the media jumped on the poll.

"Carbon taxes on businesses still make life more expensive, Canadians say," was the headline that ran in the Toronto Sun.

Canada cannot be an energy superpower while we have an emissions cap. No new markets until it and C-69 are gone.

Liberal Leader Mark Carney is planning to borrow $225 billion over the next four years, according to the platform he released on the weekend.

Former prime minister Justin Trudeau planned to add $131 billion to the debt over the same time, according to government documents.

That means Carney's plan is to borrow almost a hundred billion more than Trudeau.

You know that taxpayers can't afford any more government debt. And you know that you pay too much tax because the government spends too much money.
