I got questioned by Scouse over at BF about Rotwang.

This is what I said. I stand by these words.



I don't know where his head was at or what he was or wasn't capable of, but he creeped enough of us out that we never met in an open group again.

Which was a shame. The meet up in Rosebud was epic the year before. Almost 3 days on a beach partying and fishing and getting carved up by sea lice in the night tides.

Of course there was booze and drugs.

Anyway, I'll come clean. Rotwang aka Leapardsocks wasn't a bad dude online until he was offline.He had preconceptions about us, despite we all being parents in RL, and when he objected to the set up.... tried to override all of us.


He insisted on young feral bunking in his room,and when we resisted, accused us in typical cop bullying fashion of heinous shit. We had only offered her the invitation at that point after the mama bears said they'd look after her.

Rotwang was unrelenting and promised to ruin the event unless he could attend.


So we called it off and told him to go fuck himself.

Now you know.

I'm going by MY experience with him. I was going thru major post partum depression after having my son and I honestly felt so sad, I didn't want to live. That man actually took the time to help me and I don't forget things like that. Whatever his intentions were, which I believe he was genuinely trying to help, he helped me thru it. My hub was working out of town and I was so sad. He never once said anything that made me feel he was after anything but trying to help

More or less bang on the money, though you are misremembering the timeline somewhat. The Bathurst meetup was something Nozzer and I cooked up and it happened ahead of the Melbourne get together, not behind it. Otherwise, I can confirm your recollection as being an accurate tally with what I know.

Not that it really matters in this place... that "creep factor" is not something that TBC is intimately familiar with where Bricktop is concerned. The furore at Brawl Hall and Flame Champs (as well as his alleged prior activities at the gaming site HCTrouble and Bumspud unearthed) are more than two decades old now and do not appear to have been echoed here. So, twenty years of good behaviour, more or less? That's what TBC sees and I have no personal interest in changing their minds where he is concerned; it serves me no purpose whatsoever.

That is it.

There are some pretty serious allegations being made against Bricktop. All of which occurred before we were familiar with him. Nobody here or on VF has seen anything close to that kind of behaviour. So, expect many to be indifferent or outright denial of such accusations.

I don't know anybody offline and I like it that way. All I know is the what people post and most of the time I liked reading and responding to BT's posts. And I will leave it that.
