Gavin Newsom's victory did not last long after an appeals court temporarily halted a ruling that had been made in the Democrat's favor just hours later.

Newsom had filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration for sending the National Guard and a battalion of U.S. Marines into the rioting in Los Angeles, and on Thursday, a judge ruled in his favor. United States District Judge Charles Breyer said that Trump had acted unconstitutionally in the order.

That was short-lived when the administration appealed to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and got an emergency ruling to return command of the National Guard to the president.

"If it weren't for me getting the National Guard into Los Angeles, it would be burning to the ground right now!" wrote the president in part after the appeals ruling.

For about a week now, angry foreign nationals (mostly Mexican), angry legal residents originally from Mexico, and lunatic leftist white American Democrats have been blocking highways, hurtling bricks at police from overpasses, shooting off fireworks into crowds, and setting cars on fire.

Why? Because they're very angry that laws against illegal immigration are being enforced. And they're doing more than "protesting" this — they're actively targeting the Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers charged with carrying this out.

That's the purpose of posting the known locations and identities of ICE officers on social media. They want them hurt or even killed.

The curfew in LA has been lifted.

A raid on a meatpacking plant in Nebraska has caused a surge in job applications following the apprehension of 76 employees who were detained and removed from the premises by federal authorities.

After just a few days, a dozen illegal workers had already been removed from the state or deported, while more than 60 were taken to a detention center, NBC News reported.

What happened after the Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid, though, defied a sentiment that has permeated across the country: that no American wants the jobs that illegal workers perform.

As Glenn Valley Foods mourned the loss of what the company called "family" members (referring to illegal employees), prospective employees banged on the doors looking to fill the roles that the company itself said were very hard to hire for.

The company's entire waiting room was packed with people filling out job applications just two days after the ICE raid.
