I am sure it was an oversight.

I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Jeremiah 30:

35 This is what the Lord says,

he who appoints the sun
    to shine by day,
who decrees the moon and stars
    to shine by night,
who stirs up the sea
    so that its waves roar—
the Lord Almighty is his name:
36
"Only if these decrees vanish from my sight,"
    declares the Lord,
"will Israel ever cease
    being a nation before me."

The bible is allegorical at best. More likely folklore.

No, for instance, it told us about the Big Bang creation of the universe thousands of years before science discovered it.

Fairy tales to scare small children into obedience. We have them in our culture too.

Nothing scary about the origin of the universe.

Oh ffs, many 21st century evangelical theologians see no links at all between the Bible and big bang cosmology. The  Big Bang isn't what's being suggested in scripture. The order of creation described in Genesis doesn't match the order we've observed in reality.

At best, the Bible is allegorical. Fundies actually believe Jonah was swallowed by a whale and vomited on the shore.

My dad told me that "science" taught him growing up through high school that the universe had no beginning and that it always existed. The Bible has ALWAYS documented what perfectly aligns with the Big Bang Theory. The Bible has thousands of years of being right on creation while "science" has only accepted this for around 50 years.

DKG

Here we go again.

This reminds me of when cc would argue against Islam quoting the Quran and the Hadith.

I already explained it does not. It's like saying Nostradamus predicted 9/11.

Nope. In fact, the Bibles recording of creation lines up with The Big Bang Theory.

When you have 10 minutes:

Shen Li

No, Big Bang cosmology is not biblical. Stop watching vids used by proselytizing bible nutbars.
