An Ohio couple is grieving the "unimaginable tragedy" of the death of their 1-year-old daughter after their pit bull unexpectedly attacked her, according to police.

Tuscarawas County Sheriff Orvis L. Campbell said that deputies were called out on a report of a dog attack at a home on Lake Road in Dover Township on July 2 at about 6 p.m.

Campbell said an emergency dispatcher received an initial call where nothing could be heard and then received a second call moments later from the mother, who said her child had been killed.

When deputies arrived at the residence, they found the child with bites to her face and neck. She was declared dead at the scene.

Pitbulls are attack dogs, not pets.  You can have a pitbull or a kid, but not both.  SMH.

Some Social Security recipients could experience a payment garnishment as an agency clawback policy on previous overpayments doled out to seniors goes into effect later in July.

It means that the latest date that overpayment clawbacks can start is July 24, which is 90 days after April 25. Some seniors may have received wage garnishment notices before April 25, meaning the clawbacks started before the July 24 cutoff, according to the SSA message.

It's not the first time that the agency has tried to reclaim overpayments.

Eight Chinese nationals on student visas in the United States have been indicted for their alleged role in a scam targeting elderly Americans through fraudulent computer pop-ups, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced on July 11.

The defendants, who came to the United States to attend college, are accused of defrauding more than 50 victims across 19 states out of more than $10 million. They were indicted by a federal grand jury in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, for conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

According to the second superseding indictment, the defendants are accused of running the computer pop-up scam from August 2023 to February 2024. The pop-ups were disguised as coming from Microsoft, falsely warning victims that their computers had been hacked and displaying a phone number to call for help.

When victims called the number, they were allegedly fed various lies, for example, that their bank accounts were "not secure" and that they would need to withdraw from their savings, according to the court document.

To conceal their crimes, the defendants allegedly instructed the victims not to tell anyone what they had been told, and to tell banks that the large cash withdrawals were for purposes such as "home remodeling," the court document added.

I have been on the internet for long time. Of all the shit i have seen go down with trolls (whats up) and bullies, something happened a few weeks ago that has just broke my fucking heart. I have actually cried tears over this.

Anyone even slightly associated with me knows i love animals. Im the weirdo that will bring that abandoned baby squirrel home. Hurt birds. My kids even drag home random injured wild life. Im a complete sucker for an animal that needs help...hence how i ended up with 32 cats and kittens and found myself inside of a network of professional rescuers who were helping me. Taking animals for me. Helping me pay for vet care. You name it. Its a tight community and im happy i got rub elbows with these wonderful people...if only for a few years.

I do not consider myself anysort of rescuer. But i will do what i can where i can. I love that we have people out there who have made it their entire life mission. And maybe thats what i SHOULD have been doing...i just dont have the steady capacity mentally or emotionally to do so. So i admire those who do.

 Prescious isnt it? I was immediately drawn in. This is a young women names Mikala Raines, and Finnegan fox. A 30 year old gorgeous young woman who started SaveAFox wildlife rescue which has been massively successful. Mostly due to her online content showing sweet little Finny the fox and other foxes. And some minks. Some coyotes. Cats. Jackals. A racoon. Shes got all kinds of animals.

 But her passion was saving foxes from fur farms.

 On any given day you could go to the SaveAfox channel and see this woman feeding the animals animal friendly cupcakes on their birthdays. Yes. She celebrated their birthdays. Giving them watermelon. Rolling around and cuddling with them. She was like a beautiful little wood fairy frolicking about with woodland creatures. Educating people and sharing her animals.

 Me and Squish watched her videos all the time and i have donated a handful of times to her rescue. She also was on the autism spectrum and had BPD. She wasnt in it for fame or money, she was so down to earth. Not at all the "influencer" sort.  Everything she made went right to the rescue and the animals. 

 SaveAfox popularity online grew the rescue and made it possible for her to rescue hundreds of foxes.

 And as to sadly be expected, attracted trolls and bullies. Trolls and bullies who relentlessly attacked and harrassed this woman. They even had a fucking reddit dedicated to hating her. And it wasnt JUST people from the internet. People who were also in the rescue community turned on her.  She was accused of animal abuse. Animal hoarding. Neglect. They told her she should either go do OF or kill herself.

 And sadly, two weeks ago, she ended her life. Leaving behind this whole rescue, a husband, and a 3 year old daughter.

 And for two weeks, ive had a steady stream of her videos on my algorithm. Videos i never thought i could feel so sad watching.

 Apparently the "snark" reddit board was taken down to shut to private and the ring leaders of the hate crusade have been doxxed. So many people want to see justice had here....but what can even be done.

 Its easy to say "well thats just part of being on the internet and if you cant take it, dont put yourself out there" and normally i agree. I get that. And she clearly wasnt cut out for all that spotlight. But all the good things she was able to do because of it...it just sucks so bad. Like really WHO bullies a wildlife rescuer? And one who is so sweet and cute and just wants to save foxes?

 A good chunk of the bullies responsible for this were FURRIES. I shit you not. A bunch a fucking animal perverts. So a bunch of depraved troons who dress up like animals and make it sexual. Every single one of those useless degenerates combined do not add up to one Mikala Rains. She was 30 years old and did more in her short life for the benefit of living beings than the nasty bullies who drove her to suicide.

 I followed her channels for years and her socail media and i didnt even know this was going on. She mentioned it maybe 3 times and it was always to tell her followers NOT to go after them.

 It just kills me that the very thing that helped her mission the most and that helped her help hundreds of animals was the very thing that killed her.

 Her husband vowed to continue the rescue and keep saving foxes from furr farms and there has been an outpouring of support. Donations. Fund raisers. Art and poems about Mikala. Tributes. People going and visiting the animals. I see them sharing pictures of the animals we all know by name from Mikalas videos. And they look SO SAD. Like they all know shes gone.

But, I aint going to bullshit ya. I am frickin hard on any animal on my farm. They all have a job to do and if they do not do it they will be getting a visit from my 270.

 Rescuers are rehabilitating injired or sick wildlife.

 Mikayla Raines saves foxes from furr farms, animal hoardind and pet surrenders.

 Furr farms are horrific and all those foxes are bred in captivity so they can never be released into the wild (due to funky genetics it would be detrimental to wild foxes).  They keep the poor things in wire cages from birth to when they are killed for furr.

 She would have videos of furr farm foxes stepping onto grass for the first time that would have me sniffling into my coffee

I have beef cattle on my mixed farm. Almost all of Canada's dairy cattle farms are in Quebec and Ontario.
