Arab Muslim nations have come out against Hamas and demanded that they dismantle themselves and no longer have the right to govern Gazans or any Palestinians. This is huge. Also many Western nations have done the same.

Mr Carney floating the idea of recognizing a terrorist organization as a legitimate government was a weak attempt at foreign policy. A charade to appear like an international statesman.

And while Mr Carney was left waiting on hold, Mr Trump was on the line with the President of Mexico.

That is not statesmanship. That is the foreign policy equivalent of being ghosted.
