My fave male vocalist is Ronnie James Dio

One of my fave songs by Dio.

The best singer in my  opinion was a different Ronnie.

Iggy Pop is my guy.  This is my favorite rock song ever.

Yes, and I see that Freddie is your dude.  I find Iggy is unconventional in his approach to music and you can't say he doesn't deserve to be called the godfather of punk. 

Truth is, I don't a favorite. I do, however, have favorites such as Ronnie Van Zant mentioned by Herman above.

James Hetfield too.

Tommy James is another fave vocalist of mine. He and his band, The Shondells, are deeply entrenched in the soundtrack of my life. I've also seen him live. It's interesting to note he's 78 years young and still touring. He'll be at The Golden Nugget in Vegas  October 17th.
