Where I did see contempt wishing personal harm was in the gay community. Coming out as a conservative to the gay community was riskier than coming out as gay to my family.

But unfortunately, when the pendulum swings back most people will have already been so sick and tired of this crap will attack the gay community too. And that's sad because there are a lot of decent people in that community that both respect and call friend.
