The Judds were a mother-daughter duo composed of Naomi and Wynonna Judd. They signed with RCA Records in 1983 and became one of the most successful acts in country music history.  They disbanded in 1991 after Naomi was diagnosed with hepatitis C. Sadly, she took her own life in 2022.  This is one of my favorites:

I did too, but I saw Dolly on TV about an hour ago and she said she's fine. She certainly looked and sounded fine. I suppose time will tell, although I think Dolly's always been a straight shooter.

Who's the greatest country singer of all time?  Hard to say.  That said, George Jones should be at or near the top of any "greatest" list. Sometimes referred to as "No Show Jones", like countless other great stars, he had his demons. But, he had more than 160 chart singles from 1955 until his death in 2013. This is one of his top songs:

Normally, my answer to the greatest country singer would be Johnny Cash, but he's slightly more rockabilly than country so my alternate answer is Willie Nelson.
