Mr. Trump began floating the idea of sending Americans rebate checks for the tariffs his administration has collected.

"People that are against Tariffs are FOOLS!" Trump posted on Truth Social on Sunday. "A dividend of at least $2000 a person (not including high income people!) will be paid to everyone."

Mr. Carney on the other had is "strengthening" the industrial carbon tax to make life less affordable for everybody(not including high income people).

Speaking at the U.S.–Saudi Investment Forum at the Kennedy Center in Washington, held during Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's formal visit this week, Trump attributed the surge in investments to his economic policies.

"We're told that $270 billion in agreements and sales are being signed between dozens of companies, and that's just happening today," Trump said. "That's big stuff."
