I might look into getting a vacation property in Greece or Southern Italy if they're cheap @wizer

Are there any other countries you'd recommend in the region?

How about Croatia or Albania? Are they nice and affordable?

Itd be nice to have a place to escape to during the Winter months

We looked at Albania as a possible 2nd house it's cheap and not too far of a drive from Greece. Lots of Albanians live in Greece and are employed by locals. We aren't thrilled with the culture. They're lazy, opportunistic and dishonest.

It turned us off to the idea. Croatia is another beautiful country but as far as I know more expensive than Greece. I haven't heard of too many places that have the views, the food and the cheap cost of living as Greece.
